So I will be converting my moms dodge crysler van, ~2002 into a climbing van for the summer. I would love to build a platform in the back to sleep on and then shove gear in bins under the platform. I was wondering if anyone here has some photos or suggestions on what to do to my van to make it comfy and organized for a long road trip.

I’m also a big fan of battery operated twinkle lights. They’re not great for reading, but they give my van a cozy vibe for nighttime relaxation.

Plywood panel or cupboard etc. - Use the original panels, if in bad condition 1 or 2 ply and use the old one as a template. I've loads of pics on how to do the above. You really need to van to sit snugly behind you. Even a very slow speed impact with a tree will obliterate a normal van. They are built with 38mm square wooden frame and thin aluminium skin. the rest is air. Look carefully at how the inside furniture is assembled, I have seen a lot of staples, chipboard screws etc.
